“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.”

-Steve Maraboli

My heart truly, is to help others using my time and resources. That's why I choose to use my platform as a hairstylist to create awareness, a safe place,  and use my resources to give back.  When you choose me as your stylist you're choosing to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Below is a list of Charities I support through my business. Some are global or nation-wide and others directly support our community.

CUT IT OUT® The Beauty Community Against Domestic Abuse is a program dedicated to mobilizing salon / spa professionals, students and others to fight the epidemic of domestic abuse in communities across the United States. CUT IT OUT® builds awareness of domestic abuse through awareness materials to be displayed in salons, the “Give the Power Back” initiative to involve salons in helping local domestic violence agencies, and training salon / spa professionals and students to recognize warning signs and safely refer clients to resources.

Matter of Trust

With over 2,500 Oil spills happening per year, Matter of Trust created their Clean Wave Program. Using clippings of hair from salons, fur from pet groomers, fleece and feathers from farmers, even laundry lint. They produce felted recycled fiber mats. These mats go to public works departments for use in storm drains.

They also coordinate with emergency clean water efforts to supply stuffed sausage-shaped booms that can “sandbag” and protect coves and beaches. This program provides green jobs, as well as volunteer opportunities which are safe, non-hazardous, hands-on and empowering during major oil spills.

When there is a need, I donate my clippings to support oil spill clean-up efforts.
